As many of you know, Claudette was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the young age of 65. This awful disease has taken away her capacity to remember everyday tasks and to recognize family and friends she does not see on a regular basis.
She shares this picture with her beloved son David. David recently passed away at the very young age of 32, on February 18th, 2023. David was a huge advocate to find a cure for his mom. Claudette will sadly never learn about his passing as she has already said her goodbyes to David with this illness. We ask to be mindful to not mention David's passing to Claudette, this would create reoccurring pain and suffering she will not be able to process. As a family, we are immensely grateful for the outpouring love and support during an unimaginable time in all our lives.
"Claudette's Angel" is on behalf of Claudette and her son's quest. Please support David's ultimate life goal to care for his mom with this illness. The bond between a mother and son lasts a lifetime and beyond. It is a special connection that remains unchanged by time and distance. It is the purest love; unconditional and true.
The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
