Hello BBPAC Family! How many of you have been directly or indirectly impacted by the cruel reality of Alzheimer's Disease? I know at least ten of our Broadway Bound families have and we certain there are others in our tribe.
For those of us inflicted, we've experienced an incremental loss of meaningful conversations....of shared memories past and present, and ultimately the loss of someone we hold near and dear.
A few years ago, our DeFelice Family lost their beloved Aunt Santa Mae who was stricken by an incredibly slow progression of this dreadful disease. Same with our Tobin Family who lost sweet Aunt Dolly to Alz back in 2013.
On a personal note, we lost my dear mother Jane Lavigne to Alzheimer's 7 years ago and grieved her loss for over a decade following her diagnosis in 2011.
A few years back, our BBPAC Alz Team - 'Dancing for a Cure' - was created to bring our dance family and friends together in support of our impacted loved ones and the Alzheimer's Association. Our motto, 'Let's Take a Final Bow to Alzheimer's!' This year the event was held at the Merrimack Outlets with 167 teams and almost 900 registrants.
Thank you so much for your support. To date we have exceeded our goal by over $2000 raising $7000 so far. This helped the event exceed their goal. We are the second highest fundraising team. But we aren't finished yet. Donations can be made until December 31, 2023.
We appreciate you for joining us on our mission to Take a Final Bow for Alzheimer's! WE ARE BROADWAY BOUND!
