Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. This disease is prevalent in my family, as both my grandmother and my father have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. My grandma passed away in 1996 and my dad is currently battling with the disease. As a family member watching this disease take over my dad’s life has been very difficult. My family and I are walking this year to help raise money to find a cure so that someday others will not have to experience such heartbreak. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
