In the year we decided we needed to move Dad to a memory care program, I am walking to fund and to find the first survivor of Alzheimer's. I am walking to secure generous funds to direct to research AND to the individuals who are struggling today, confused and lost by their own brain. Five million people have this disease today and by the time I am 90 (30 years), it is expected that it could be 16 million people. For those of you around my age (that's you, 40 - 70 year olds), consider investing in help for our future, for ourselves, and for our kids whose lives will be dramatically affected by caring for us.
