Save the Date! October 21, 2023 

Here we are a year later and not much has changed for Joe.  He’s still receiving good care and is in remarkably good health, at least physically. We visit him most days for lunch and supper.  His caregivers are kind and conscientious, we are truly grateful to have each and every one of them!  My prayer for him is still peace and to know we all love him.

Life is still good for Joe, thanks to his loving family and faithful friends who visit and call to check on us.  Besides prayers and donations, that’s another way you can honor Joe and me: reach out to other caregivers who are struggling, with a phone call or note every now and then. I try to do that for others.  It will mean a lot!

I'm raising funds again to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R), I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer's research, care and support.  There's lots to be done. 

Please join us for our own walk again on Saturday, October 21 at 11:00 at the Kevin Hammersmith Park in New Albany.  We’ll have lunch and ice cream and a walk around the park and over to see Joe’s bench.  It was a great day last year when we dedicated and blessed his bench.  So many attended.  Such faithful friends we are blessed to have!

Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
