Alzheimer's disease running strongly on one side of my family, this is an extremely important cause to me. While seeing my grandfather, Andrew, go through this awful disease, I decided to work in senior living where you see this disease daily. After my grandfather passed, and my grandmother, Anne, developed dementia teetering on the side of Alzheimer's I knew what could potentially be my fate one day. This walk is important for so many reasons, the big picture, and also my picture. If we don't do all we can to find ways to prevent, treat, or cure this disease, it can affect more than just me in the future. I have kids. What if I get it and then they do? I have to do my part now! Please help me with this. It is personal to me. Professional to me. And crucial to everyone!
