My mom, whom I had been her caretaker for the past five years, passed this yesr on May 17th, from the terrible Alzheimer's disease.
This is a disease I would not wish on anyone because I have seen firsthand how it can take a brilliant person at one time and take all her memory away. I can say it is harder on a caretaker than the person with the disease. I had plenty of times that I would just sit and cry but knew she needed me.
Please if you can spare even $5.00 to donate to this great cause. Let us keep fighting to try and find a cure for this horrible disease.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you!
