The William P. Biggins family is once again participating in the walk to raise funds to fight this disease. We know all too well what effect this disease has on not only the patient, but the family caregivers as well. There continues to be promising developments in the treatment and cure for the over 6 million Alzheimer's patients, but none have left the research stage yet. These breakthroughs are possible due to funding the necessary research.
We set a fundraising goal of $30,000 this year. The organizers of the walk continue to honor the memories of those lost to Alzheimer's with their ongoing efforts to organize such a wonderful event and we are excited as ever to participate. Each year has been a wonderful, uplifting event full of joy, fellowship, and great weather.
No donation amount is too small or large and all donations are greatly appreciated. Many corporations will match a personal employee donation. The money raised goes not only to fund necessary research but also for care of those currently in need.
