My grandfather, Mark Eaton, is the most intelligent person I've ever met. He served in the United States Air Force for 25 years, earning Major status, and working in communications. He has countless degrees including a PhD from Nova Southeastern University and has worked for many institutions including Avila University and the University of Kansas School of Medicine. All these amazing achievements while still being the most amazing and supportive husband, father and grandfather.

He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2021/22. Watching my grandfather navigate through the struggles of this terrible disease has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. This has inspired me to support and work with the Alzheimer's Association, which strives to educate, fundraise, and research. Alzheimer's treatment advancement would not be possible without this organization and its volunteers. Therefore, I will be walking in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in Kansas City on October 7th, 2023, in honor of my grandpa, Mark Eaton.
