This will be my 9th year participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's, and each year I find myself inspired in ways I never thought possible. The Walk is important not only to raise funds, but to also bring awareness of the disease, showcase the many resources available in our local community, honor all who have succumbed to the disease, all who are currently affected by some form of dementia/Alzheimer's, and for all families and caretakers. I truly believe there will be a day when the world's first Alzheimer's survivor will proudly hold up their white flower for all to witness. Until then, let's do our part to get there as soon as possible - volunteer, donate, and/or spread the word of local resources!! I walk in honor of several family members who have been affected - Aunt Mary, Grandma Heim, and my very dear Grandpa Bettels. I lost my Grandpa in April of 2020 to the disease, and there's not a day that passes where I don't think of him, and miss him.
Thank you, as always! I am grateful for all of your support!
