Why We Walk: I Am My Sister's Keeper
Alzheimer’s disease is relentless, and so are the ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Alpha Sigma Sigma Alumnae Chapter. Living the mission of “Greater Service, Greater Progress,” we are leading the way to Alzheimer’s first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s ®.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's. Our Chapter has been personally touched by this devastating disease with several of our sisters in Sigma and their families currently facing the difficult battle of Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia.
Therefore, this September, we will stand united and walk in loving memory of our Soror Symentha Bone, in honor of our beloved Sorors Adah Hull and Edwana Knott, in honor of our family members, friends, and loved ones who are battling Alzheimer’s/Dementia and those we have lost along the way.
Together, we can advocate for change and a medical breakthrough.
Please donate to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
