Christy and I are once again supporting the Walk to End Alzheimer's. This year, we have set a combined goal to raise $10,000 by September 30, 2023. We are determined to do our part to help end this disease that has impacted our family and so many others.
Alzheimer's has touched our lives in a profound way. Christy watched her mother, Betty Schmeltz, struggle with the disease for over a decade. She lost her ability to communicate and ultimately relied on her father to feed, clothe, and help her with the tasks most adults take for granted. My grandfather, John Ellingwood, was also diagnosed with Alzheimer's later in life before he passed away in 2016. Unfortunately my grandmother, Margaret Ellingwood, passed away shortly after last year's Walk.
We are asking for your support to help fund research and provide care and support services to those affected by Alzheimer's disease. We believe that with the help of the Alzheimer's Association, we can make a difference and end this disease.
Please consider making a donation to help us reach our goal. Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
