Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. I am walking in honor of my Great Grandma Patricia Cartland. She was a major force in my life from the time I was born until she slowly disappeared with dementia/ Alzheimer’s Disease. We lived just houses down the street from her so we saw her daily. We loved playing in her back yard, spending the night, and walking to her home to eat lunch during school days. I treasure those memories with my Grandma. As a young child, I also remember when she started to slip away and she would just sit in her rocking chair and stare and she was not really there. I now have her rocking chair and I still picture her in it and it breaks my heart that others must suffer this devastating disease. Please support me in my Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease.
