My mom Maureen Bronicki passed away on February 22, 2019 after a 13 year battle with Alzheimer's. It was a long arduous decline and difficult to watch. There isn't much you can do to prevent the decline although it did teach me a great deal about being in the moment.
After she passed away I committed to raising money each year for the Alzheimer's Walk and so this is my annual appeal. At this point, I'm doing this for my kids in the hopes that they won't have to fear this awful disease as they age.
