WALKING FOR MARCY

For parents there could be no worse nightmare than hearing that their daughter has Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease. That nightmare became a reality six years ago for us when our daughter, Marcy, age 53, was diagnosed. 

The doctor told her that he had never given this diagnosis to someone so young and beautiful. Our family learned that life can change in a moment's time. 

For Marcy, a woman who had a successful career as an actor, writer, and producer, Alzheimer's, a progressive disease, has meant a life that now requires round-the-clock caregivers. 

Every day, we Facetime with Marcy in Los Angeles, who is now 59. Although her speech is difficult to understand, she still knows her "Mommy" and "TaTa" and we cherish every precious moment we still have with her. 

Please join us on September 10th at 9:00 AM at the Glen in Glenview. We are providing T-shirts for our Walk participants. When you register, please notify us of your t-shirt size and we will distribute them at the walk.
