Our team is walking to honor those fighting the disease, and to remember those we've lost. My fiancé's grandmother passed away from Alzheimer's in January of 2018, and it was so very devastating for everyone. She was a wonderful mom and grandma, and losing her still leaves a mark even now. I'm also walking in memory of my sister-in-law's mom, Janice, who just recently passed away from early-onset Alzheimer's, and I'm walking in honor of my best friend's mom, Rebecca, who is fighting the disease everyday.
