I've been working in the Geriatric field for over 45years as a C.N.A., Nurse,  Nurse Manager or Educator for my entire professional career.   Caring for those living with dementia related diseases, facilitating support groups, educating care partners and being an advocate for families.  It has been and continues to be my focus to increase awareness and educate those in our communities on this disease, connecting them to community resources, etc.

Several years ago, my focus and passion in my professional career took a turn as now I was now experiencing this disease as a family member with my mom.living with the disease, she passed away in summer of 2022.    

Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.

Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them.
