I am leading the way to Alzheimer's by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
On a more personal note, my family is directly impacted by dementia and Alzheimer's. I lost my mom in November, 2020 due to the pandemic. Her struggles with COVID were too much for her to sustain. Prior to that, her many years of struggling with dementia/Alzheimer's brought upon many challenges for her, causing more and more of her to disappear along with her independence lost with each passing day.
This year's Walk is on Sunday, October 2nd and I very much look forward to participating. Although we will be doing so remotely, it does not diminish my support for this very important cause. By helping to fundraise and participate in the Walk, we are making an important stand in the need to end Alzheimer's disease. By pulling our resources together, we can be strong and have our voices heard. Thank you for considering to make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association!
You are important to the cause and much appreciated by me. #ENDALZ
