I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.

My connection to Alzheimer's: My father, Don, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's four years ago. At first I was extremely hopeful that his medication would be a barrier to progression, but now we're seeing that he's progressing. I am so thankful that he knows his family and knows the joy I have of finding my husband and partner, Phil. I am so lucky that he was present and joyous for our wedding in August 2021.
