After 5 1/2 years, Gil lost his battle with Alzheimer's and neuropathy on January 26th, 2023. In February 2017, just a few years after Gil retired from 27 years as a police officer, he was diagnosed with early onset of Alzheimer's. He also battled a painful and degenerative neuromuscular disease. His Alzheimer's progressed very slowly at first and then Gil rapidly declined physically, mentally, and emotionally the last several months before his passing. The trauma our family experienced was overwhelmingly devastating. Will you help us fight to end this horrible disease?
