Helen Marget was a loving Mother of four, devoted Grandma to 11 and Great Grandma of four children. She grew up in a small town in Nebraska, married George, the love of her life, and settled in Sigourney, IA to raise their family. Amy, George, Ann and Pat all grew-up with a wonderful childhood and headed off to Notre Dame for college. Raising successful and kind children is one of Helen's proudest accomplishments.
Helen spent many days with our family in the Quad Cities growing up. In the prime of her retirement, Helen was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. As painful as it can be to move a loved one into assisted living, she became at home at Oaknoll in Iowa City, IA. Her transition was fairly quick as she spent most of her 12 years there in full-time memory care. Visiting Helen was always an uplifting experience! She was always so happy, sang often, and loved visitors.
After Helen's passing in April this year, we hope you join us in donating, Walking to End Alzheimer's with our team or volunteering. This disease is worth fighting to save our memories and loved ones. Thank you!
