I lost my father to this disease and currently work in an Alzheimer's Unit so I am well aware of the pain and suffering it can cause. Not only to the person with the disease but to the families that surround them. I have been working in this field for over 20 years and I know that we have come a long way in making progress with the medication that can slow the progression down along with the awareness that is brought to all in hopes to better understand the disease however we have so much further to go. With your help, whether it be participating in the walk or donating, this will allow research to continue in hopes that there will be a cure in the next 20 years. My family and I along with all the other people dealing with this disease THANK YOU for your time and consideration.
