This is the first year I'll be holding two purple flowers when I participate in the Chicago Walk to End Alzheimer's on October 7: I lost both of my parents in 2022, my mom to Alzheimer's disease and my dad with vascular dementia. I am very proud to work for the Alzheimer's Association because no organization anywhere in the world does more to help people who are currently facing cognitive impairment and no organization does more to ensure a future without Alzheimer's and all other dementia for the rest of us.
