For over two decades, I have been involved with the Alzheimer's Association and most of the years I've participated in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
At this point in my life, I have lost my father this year with dementia and my mother and my mother-in-law dealing with this dreaded disease. There is no easy answer to finding a cure. It has to be research and research costs money. I raise money so I can see the first survivor of this disease.
