Individuals facing Alzheimer’s and dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them as they have been there for us.
By participating in the "Walk to End Alzheimer’s," I am raising awareness and funds to advance research in the fight against this disease and the much-needed support of its victims. I am walking in honor of my mom and everyone who is living with, and caring for, those who suffer from Alzheimer's and dementia.
If you are able, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, or register to join as a participant in the Walk to End Alzheimer's.
In gratitude, I share the following prayer that has helped me over the last several months as it may be beneficial to you or someone you know:Heavenly Father, we are thankful for your love and how you allow us to experience it. Grant us the wisdom we need to follow the example of Jesus and serve others as He would. Transform our view of those with Alzheimer's and dementia and allow us to see Jesus in them and treat them with the same dignity that we would see in our Savior. Give us the faith to see your goodness; help us to experience dementia in such a way as to honor you. We pray this for our good, the good of those we know with Alzheimer's and dementia, and for your glory. Amen. (composed by John Dunlop, MD, "Finding Grace in the Face of Dementia")
God bless you,
