Our Walk to End Alzheimer's Disease is on October 21. 2023. I hope you will join our team to advance research so a cure can be found.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research. The ribbons shown in this photo show the ribbons I wore for my brother and for my Mom. When I made the ribbons, my brother was still living with Alzheimer's. Mom passed away in 2003 with Alzheimer's Disease. My brother passed away April 19, 2022 with Alzheimer's. We need a cure for those still living with Alzheimer's and for those that will eventually get it unless a cure is found.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
I am participating in this fundraising walk in memory of my mom, Stella Jernigan, and memory of my brother, Carl (Jody) Weston. This disease is so stressful for individuals with Alzheimer's and for their entire families. You can not imagine...until you have lived it.
There have been some great advances this past year with medications showing promise of slowing the progression of this disease. It is too late for those of my family we have lost, but not too late for other generations! Let us band together and help find a cure, please. Walk with us and/or donate to help.
Thank you!
