Why Team Beeba?
My Mom, Brigitte Galgut, has Alzheimer's disease. She is affectionately called "Beeba" by her 10 grandchildren. Together, we walk to honor her, by walking as Team Beeba!
My Mom lives 3,000 miles away from me in San Diego, California. I visit her once a month to spend time with her and help with her care giving needs. A lot has changed in our family's life since she was first diagnosed, but by walking in Boca Raton's Walk to End Alzheimer's, I feel like I can make a difference. Last year, we walked as Team Beeba in both San Diego's Walk4ALZ and in the Walk to End Alzheimer's - Boca Raton. This year we will do it all over again! By walking in Boca Raton I can support my Florida community and honor my Mom at the same time, all while trying to raise funds to help the Alzheimer's Association and the incredible work they are doing in the fight against Alzheimer's. I pray every day for a cure!
The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Please register as a walker or donor on my team, "Team Beeba".
Remember, big or small, every dollar makes a difference. Thank you for your support!
Hope to see you on Sunday, November 13th at Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park im Boca Raton, FL!
GO TEAM BEEBA!!
With hope for a cure,
