15 years ago, my life changed forever. My vibrant, life of the party mother was diagnosed at the very young age of 52 with Early Onset Alzheimer’s. I was only 22 years old at the time and quickly learned that Alzheimer’s portrayed in movies and TV shows was so far from the truth. I watched this strong, independent, warm, silly, amazing woman deteriorate in front of my eyes and stripped of her every being. There was nothing I could do except watch this horrific disease take every bit of who my mother was. Though we lost her years ago, she physically left us 5 years ago at the very young age of 62. Life hasn’t and will never be the same. Join me, Team Freddi, and the Boca Raton Walk to End Alzheimer's on November 12th! Thank you for your support!
