Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Alzheimer's disease is a brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills, and eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks.
Estimates vary, but experts suggest that more than 6 million Americans, most of them age 65 or older, may have Alzheimer’s.
I lost mygrandmother to this horrible disease and we must find a cure. I will neverforget the day I went to give my grandmother a hug and she backedaway, looked into my eyes as if I was a stranger. I was extremelyclose with my grandmother. The pain I felt was horrible. We must find asolution to slow down the progression, end the disease and give others afighting chance who might carry biomarkers in their genetic profile.
