Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Not only has Alzheimer's impacted my wonderful dad, but also a dear friend who in his early 50s is far too young to be living with this awful disease.... not to mention countless other friends' family members. I recently heard a psychiatrist say that by age 85, over 50% of Americans will be diagnosed with Alzheimer's or some form of dementia. The resources are just not there to support the patients nor for their families and loved ones who are desperately trying to support them through this disease.
