I walk to Honor all of my family and friends that I have lost to this dreaded disease.
I walk in Hope that a cure will become a reality because of the efforts of many, like me.
And now, I walk in Support of my own mother, whom I care for and love dearly.
We remember, those who don’t +
From the time I was a teenager and my father lost his Aunt Hazel to “ a condition that robbed her of her ability to think and do things for herself “ to being in my 30's when my mother's Uncle Greg bought three Mercedes one afternoon, to being in my 50's when my grandmother no longer knew my father, let alone me; to present day knowing and working with over 40 clients suffering from this cruel disease... I know - I've seen - I've felt and shared the heartache. No longer will I take little steps by myself. Now is the time to take big steps! So I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R). Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
