I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
I'm proud to organize our team, Joyce’s Angels, as a way to honor my mom and help increase awareness of this horrible disease. Early onset Alzheimer's took my mom away from us at such an early age. She didn't get to watch her grandsons grow up snd become successful loving adults. I know she would be so proud of them. My parents never had a chance to enjoy retirement and travel. Every milestone, holiday, or celebration just isn’t the same without her.
My mom passed away in May 2014. She will always be a part of me and our family. She will never be forgotten. Please join us for the walk or consider making a donation. My hope is that there will be a breakthrough in treating this disease sometime in my lifetime.
I have several friends who have been affected by Alzheimer’s: they are caregivers, supportive family members, and/or have lost their loved ones. It’s more common than anyone realizes. I am walking for ALL my friends’ loved ones and ALL the people affected by this horrible disease.
Thank you for reading & God Bless!!
