Welcome to Haz’s Heros!! Hazel lost her battle against Alzheimer’s Sept 2021 after a 10+year battle. She struggled to find her words or recognize her dear friends (I became the “bossy lady!” I learned it from you Mom!) Grief now is replaced with wonderful memories of great times and laughs shared. Hazel never backed down from a fight, and Haz’s Hero’s won’t either! We will continue to fight to find the first survivor! And though our team is Hazel’s namesake, we also walk for family members Debbie Kyzer, Glenn Schmitt and for every person (and their caregivers and families) battling Alzheimer’s and other dementia.

Please join me in this fight! We will be participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 21st in Manassas, VA. You can join us in person, or walk remotely wherever you may be at no cost, but any donation would be appreciated! (If you join the team and donate or fundraise $100, you get a really cool shirt!). Our goal this year is to have at least 20 team members (from all over!) and raise $10,000 or more. Thank you!!
