It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of my beloved wife Carolyn! Carolyn, my wife of 52 years, and the name sake of the Carolyn’s Crusaders team, lost her battle with Alzheimer’s disease on January 27, 2023! Carolyn fought a brave fight against this devastating disease for 10 years! Carolyn’s Crusaders will dedicate this years fundraising effort to Carolyn’s memory!
This is a cause very close to our hearts! Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease! It steals your memories and everything you hold dear! It takes your identity, your dignity and eventually your life! No one survives!!! There have been some promising breakthroughs recently, too late perhaps to save our generation, but we walk to save future generations!
Please support our team we lovingly call “Carolyn’s Crusaders”. Carolyn was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s ten years ago. Carolyn’s diagnosis changed our family forever! We will be walking with the Alzheimer’s Association again this year on September 24th at Lighthouse point park in New Haven to fund research to find a cure! If you would like to make a monetary donation of any amount, please click donate. It would be Greatly appreciated! The first survivors of Alzheimer’s are out there somewhere, please help us find them! Until we put an end to Alzheimer’s, there will always be a “ Carolyn’s Crusaders “ team on the front line of this fight!
God bless Carolyn! May she Rest In Peace!
We wish you good health!
Thank you,
Rick Collins and Family
