Ten years ago, my family and I began to notice that my mom was starting to forget many things. So many different thoughts went through our heads and unfortunately, our worst fears were realized. When I got the call from my dad that she had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, I was devastated. There is no cure. This diagnosis changed our lives forever. Mom fought bravely, but ultimately lost her battle on January 27th 2023. We will continue to fight in mom's memory!

Alzheimer's in an unforgiving disease that steals away your identity, your memories, and eventually your life. My family and I are walking to raise awareness and money to hopefully find a cure for this disease that affects over 5 million Americans. That number is expected to triple in the next 30 years!

While we did not see a cure for my mom, we walk to honor her and to hopefully find a cure for future generations. We will be walking at Lighthouse Park in New Haven on September 24th. Please help support the team we lovingly call "Carolyn's Crusaders" in our fight to end Alzheimer's. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
