“Why I walk”to End Alzheimer’s by Sue Straight
My grandfather had Alzheimer’s back in the 1970’s. It has taken me many years to realize that it was the disease that took my Grandpa away from reality. In 2010, I decided it was time to work in the field of Alzheimer’s by becoming a CNA and I found an opportunity to work directly in the field of Memory Care with Vi @ Highlands of Ranch.
Over the past 10+ years, I have watched many families continue to struggle like I had. Their lives forever changing as a result of this devastating disease. This disease affects not only the victim but also their family, friends, neighbors, caregivers and everyone that comes in contact with them. It is time to End Alzheimer’s. Please help!
