My mom was the same age as I am now in this picture. 67. Five years later she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Five years later she passed away. It was through the journey I went on with her that I became passionate about finding a cure. Much to my surprise I also discovered a passion for working with other seniors with dementia. I got involved with Walk to End Alzheimer's because of my mom but continue to be involved because this disease affects too many people in the saddest and most heart wrenching way. We watch our loved ones lose the ability to remember not only us, but the ability to do just about everything. Often, it's a long, slow, painful process. I pray that one day NO one will suffer from this horrible disease. Please donate if you can.
