Again this year we are walking to honor my mom, Teri Crum.
Teri was diagnosed with Young On-Set Alzheimer's in September of 2017, and now, some 6 years later, we are blessed to still have Mom in our lives. The ravages of Alzheimer's' on her mind are heartbreaking to be sure, but we are so very fortunate to still have her sweet, loving, and kind soul and her remarkably strong body with us.
Mom (and her neighbors from Windsong memory care) will be walking with us, so anyone in Colorado would wants to make the trip up to Greeley on 10/7 will get to walk not just with me, but with Mom and her caregiver friends... "Teri's Angels."
Whether you can it for the Walk or not, please consider donating to the cause. The Alzheimer's Association has made a number of huge inroads into new treatments for Alzheimer's in the past few years, but research needs to continue as I'd like nothing more to see a cure for this terrible disease in my lifetime.
