In memory of my mom, this is my 9th year to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Many of you have graciously followed my walk efforts each year, and I am very grateful for the kindness and support shown to me on behalf of my mom. She lived an inspiring life of 95 years, but suffered with the awful effects of Alzheimer's the later years of her life. It was painful as her family to watch someone so vibrant and active go down the terrifying path associated with Alzheimer's. For that reason, I walk each year so those I know and care about will someday not have to go through what my mom experienced.
