In memory of Good Ol Phyl! A beautiful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and Friend. Mom's love of life, her beautiful heart that shined from the inside out, her smile and sense of humor, so much more, is our gift! In 2014, her battle to this ugly disease, or she called it, the Ugly A, was lost. Her memory matters!
In memory of Rino! A Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle and friend. In 1994, Rino, lost his battle. He was diagnosed at a very early age...he was 54 years old. He suffered for 12 years before he lost his battle. His loving wife, Virginia, took care of him, at home, the entire time. During his battle, little was known about this ugly disease. For this reason, we continue to walk and bring awareness in the hopes that no other family suffers.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease, our future is at risk.
To do our part, we welcome and appreciate your support! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.On Saturday, October 15, we are walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, we are committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support so that no other person or family suffers from the Ugly A.
