As many of you know, my mom had Alzheimer's. She has been gone a long time (2005) and yet, she was gone so long before that. I used to think that if someone had Alzheimer's, that maybe their life wasn't too bad...maybe they didn't have any worries. How wrong could I have been! I can't begin to imagine how frightening it must have been for her so many times (even in a single day!) Mom told me that a cousin of her's had lived in the home we found for her to live in. And I was so grateful that she was able to find a way to be comfortable living in a home that was not her own. Even now, I have no real clue of how frightening the not knowing...who we were, who the staff were, where she was, WHO she was ....must have been. If you have read this far...BLESS you.And please help us fund the critical research that still needs to be done to fight this horrible disease by donating to Sylvia's Kids.
