I have been walking at the Sonoma-Marin walk for the last 11 years. During my time walking and working for the Alzheimer's Association, we have had numerous family members diagnosed with some form of dementia. This year I am walking in memory of Grandma Barbara, Grandma Betty and all the grandparents, moms and dads who have lost their lives way too soon to this horrible disease. Alzheimer's and related dementias are robbing the futures from so many families. Through my work as the Family Services Manager at the North Bay offices of the Alzheimer's Association, I have seen too many people lose their lives and their loved ones. I am tired of losing loved ones to this disease! By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
