We're walking to raise funds and awareness in support of the Alzheimer's Association. Their hard work and dedication is so important and benefits so many families in our community that really need the help.
In the United States, an estimated 5.4 million peopleare living with Alzheimer's disease. Unless something is done, as many as 16 millionAmericans will have Alzheimer's in 2050. You may have heard the recent news about our government prioritizing its support for Alzheimer's research. This is an important step for our nation, the Alzheimer's advocacy movement, and the development and implementation of an effective National Alzheimer's Plan. The Alzheimer's Association is advancing research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
