I'm walking to honor my mother, Mary Ann Sumpter, who lost her battle with Alzheimer's on November 10, 2014.  By participating in the 2023 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.  This will be the 13th year my family and I have participated in the Walk.  We walk for our mother and many of our friend's mothers and fathers who battle the disease. and we believe that we can make a difference.

Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. We need to raise awareness and fund raise to help find a cure to end this terrible disease.
 
I need your support to do my part! Please help by making a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
