I walk to honor my husband Don, whose 11 year Dementia Journey ended last October 10th, when Don left his earthly home and went to live with Jesus!!!
Current statistics are that 1 in 3 Seniors will die from dementia! With everyone's support, the dollars we raise can provide our suffering families with education and 24/7 support (800-292-3900) as well as advancing critical research toward methods of treatment and prevention of this dreadful disease. I walk because I don't want anyone else in my family, or your family, to go through this devastating long journey of dying two deaths—first to the slow and gradual sometimes unfavorable behavioral changes, and then the final physical death. Thank you for your support in however you might choose to help fight for the first survivor!!
