I'm raising funds for the Walk to End Alzheimer's in honor of my mother, Yvonne Riedl, who passed away from the disease this past June. After almost a decade of slow decline, her suffering on earth has finally ended.
However, Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, we hope to increase awareness to advance the fight against this dreadful disease — and raise funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
More and more people are diagnosed with some form of Alzheimer's every day, and they and their loved ones will need guidance and support. This organization helped me navigate a very scary time in my life as I cared for my mother and watched her slowly fade away.
