I ask for your help to end this terrifying disease. When I walked in 2022, as part of Team Phyllis, my aunt was still able to speak, and seemed to have at least some recognition of people, was eating and able to walk some. The situation changed drastically since, and she passed away on May 28th, 2023. In such a short time, she was unable to recognize me, unable to care for herself, unable to speak, and in her final days, refusing to eat. She had enough, and now the suffering is over, at least for her. There are so many more familes suffering. All I have now are memories. Our annual Mother's Day golf and our Christmas Eve traditions were my favorites. At the time I write this, it has been just a couple days since she passed. I miss her, and I have missed her for the last 3 years when Alzheimer's left her as a shell - without spirit, without emotion, without joy, only confusion, fear and pain. No one should live that way. Please make a donation or register. Do it for selfish reasons if you must, I know I am. This is the disease I fear the most as I think about the future. I appreciate anything you can do. Michele
