Mom had Alzheimer's and it not only took her from us long before she died, but it took her from herself! Not remembering your children, or seeing things that are not there, not knowing where you are or why you are there; not even knowing who you are is a terrible thing. I think that was the worst part, she didn't remember who she was.
The good news is that the Alzheimer's Association is there to support research and help others impacted by this dreadful disease.
