We all have a reason to end this disease!
Lauren, one of our team captains, works at the Alzheimer's Association as a Family Services Manager. Every day she support families, loved ones, and friends who have found themselves in the role of caregiver for someone in the journey through Alzheimer's disease or another dementia. We receive calls on our 24/7 Helpline from people concerned about themselves, their mother, uncle, grandmother- wanting to know what is "normal aging" . We get calls from people struggling with behaviors, just wanting their loved one to eat or bathe. Every day the Alzheimer's Association is an ear to anyone who needs an ear.
The Alzheimer's Association goes beyond care and support to be largest non-profit funder of Alzheimer's research. They also advocate in Sacramento and on a national level to increase funding and awareness of this debiltating disease. I am passionate about raising money for this walk and the Association because it is clear to me that although there is no cure yet for this disease, there is reason to hope. We can not do anything to eliminate this disease without funding.
Unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions. Please join our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's™, the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer's disease. Together, we can advance research to treat and prevent Alzheimer's, and provide programs to improve the lives of millions of affected Americans.
