Twelve years ago, I participated in my first Walk to End Alzheimer’s.  I made a promise to myself on that day that I would walk every year until they find a cure.  I have kept that promise. I have witnessed this horrible disease first hand.  Both my parents were diagnosed.  I lost my dad five years ago and now I am watching my mom decline further and further to the point that I don't think that she can join us on the Walk this year.  I hope future generations will not have to experience this cruel disease.
